Description:

The Al-Takie Al-Suleimanie Mosque is a mosque complex in Damascus, located on the banks of the Barada River. It was built on the orders of Suleiman the Magnificent and designed by the architect Sinan in 1560. The Al-Suleimanie Madrasa (school of Islam) was added to the southeast of the Al-Takie Al-Suleimanie complex by Selim II.

The Al-Takie Al-Suleimanie complex was restored in the 1968 by the Directorate General of Antiquities. It is one of most beautiful places of Damascus now.
