Description:

The wooden building of the church of Saint Joseph was founded in 1624 by the Bernardine Monastery. After a fire in 1644, rebuilt the church is of stone, but that does not protect it from subsequent fires in 1656, 1740, 1809, 1835, respectively.

After the suppression of national liberation uprising thanks to Kalinouski authorities of the Russian Empire in 1864 the monastery was abolished. And in 1868 the church was taken under the church of Cyril and Methodius.

From 1872 to the present church of Saint Joseph used as an archive of scientific and technical documentation and archive Belarusian art.
